I'll admit it here. I was definitely a little hesitant to listen to the Greatest Remixes album. But for me, I have to listen to the album a few times to kind of appreciate it.
Yeah, some songs are okay. Some I can dance to :) Some...really, some just suck. No offense to the guys, I know they're providing us with a filler to listen to while we impatiently wait for Album No. 5 to come out, but seriously...remixes of already good songs? Seriously?
My favorite tracks are LA Worldwide, Anxiety, I Just Wanna Live remix, The Little Things remix, Girls & Boys remix, and The Young and Hopeless Remix. Originally I thought Metro Station's cover of Dance Floor Anthem was going to suck MAJORLY, but it ended up growing on me, strangely enough.
Okay. Some of the tracks are catchy. The remixes are kinda cool. But for the songs like Keep Your Hands Off My Girl and Broken Hearts Parade, where there's like 2 minutes straight of RAP...no. Sorry, but the last time I associated Good Charlotte with like Jay-Z was...never. Tracks like those were just...horrible.
Overall, it's an okay album with an okay soundtrack. Sure, my OMGZZZZGOODCHARLOTTE! days are over, but I will still listen to this. And impatiently wait for the 5th album to drop. Joel has said it's going to sound like Blink-182 with NO dance songs.
YAY.
