"My Star"

kk, i wrote this about a week ago, hope ya like!

im sitting on my back patio
tryin to watch the stars
the clouds are darker than before
the skys pitch black and the stars seem far
but i have one star that seems closer
so close as if it were in front of me
havent seen it in forever
its glowing just like you for everyone to see.
*it wont take long
before it dims with the rest
but if it stays strong
itll stand out as the best
hmm... sounds like you my star
you seem so close yet so far.
its diming away, hope it stays
or at least comes back someday
but ill always know itll come back sometime
because that star of mine
is here forever; shining, bright.
