At 11:55pm on April 17, 2009, Fayebo said…: it's up on stilts - it's a queenslander home (google it)... they are the best. The stilts prevent the termites from eating the wood. The further away from the ground you are, the less likely you are to have termite issues in Queensland because of the type of native wood they use for the stilts... but most people get them replaced with cement ones these days... they don't look as nice.

I used to be on a hill at the other end of my street, i lived at the top! (I moved real far... lol) But then my old landlord knocked the house down and built a big ugly house up there out of brick... when the rest on our street are all wooden queenslanders!! totally ruined the street. Had my eye on this house for ages and then it became empty and I snapped it up straight away! It's rather big, but a lot of people are always crashing here so it's usually full. anyhoooooo enjoy your weekend!! xo

(thank goodness my house is up high) But it all comes with the territory when you live in Queensland! Glad to hear you had a good easter! I didn't pig out on a much chocolate as usual... probably a good thing... hehe I'm finished holidays today so back to work for two days then the weekend again! goodbye sleep ins!! :o(
