- Rodrigo da Fonseca Tavares (Camaquã, April 12, 1982) is a bassist, guitarist, singer and composer.
He is currently bassist of Fresno since 29 October 2006, for which he produced the first two cds, and composer, guitarist and vocalist of the band in April. Addition to maintaining a solo project under the name Esteban.
] Biography
Gaucho Camaquã, Tavares went through several cities before arriving in Sao Paulo, and Curitiba, Southern and Rosario in Argentina. At age 11 he learned to play drums and like the International. At 13 he was playing guitar. At 23 he learned piano. At 24, joined the band Fresno and moved to bass.
As a child he was already thinking about being a musician. As he said: "Even the 10 years I wanted to be Renato Borghetti. From 11 to 18 years I wanted to be Duca Leindecker. 18 to 23 wanted to be the Engenheiros ".
April
Banda Gaucha formed in 2003, has Tavares on guitar and vocals, head on down, Bell Cassique on drums and guitar. His first and only album called "What makes you happy?", And was released in September 2005.
Fresno
Fresno is a band formed in Porto Alegre in 1999. Currently, members are Lucas Silveira (vocals, guitar), Gustavo Mantovani (Vavo) (guitar) and Rodrigo Tavares (Tavares) (bass), and live in Sao Paulo.
Recently Ruschell Bell (drums) joined the band in place of Cuper.
With roots in the emocore genre, the band's compositions deal basically broken hearts and feelings, and with the latest album Redemption a major influence pop.
