VICTORIAN BUSH FIRES :( NEWS
IM WRITING THIS ON TUESDAY THE 10TH FEBRUARY 2009
FIRES BEEN BURNING SINCE SATURDAY 7TH OF FEBRUARY!
AUSTRALIAS WORST NATURAL DISASTER EVER-VICTORIAN BUSHFIRES!!
I live in Vic but in the suburbs not in the bush....the fires are in the bush land and are still burning..Helicopters carrying water have been flying over my house loads of times a day!!
My heart goes out to all the people who have lost - Family - Friends - Houses - Belongings - and anything else ppl have lost.
last i heard around 181 people are dead, expected that the death toll will rise to 200 - 750 houses lost - and this is all just too date - becoz of these fires and some are suspected to have been lit b arsenists (on purpose)!
The day the fires started it was 46.5 degrees celcius! HOT!
As i type there are still around 50 fires (last i heard) around Victoria.
Firefighters fear that the hot weather that is comming at the end of this week will do worse than good!
A huge Thankyou needs to go to the firemen/women and volunteers for all there help! Truly from the bottom of my heart THANKYOU!

Good Luck to the firefighters with the rest of there battle. and Good Luck to all the families and people who are left to pick up the peices from Australias worst natural disaster ever!
it would be great if people could give a donation to the red cross to help and communities rebild and to help families rebild houses and there lives! www.redcross.org.au
Sitting in my loungeroom watching the special news reports has been just heart renching!! soo sad! a lot of tears have been in my house this past weekend and we arnt physically affected by the fires at all...
