Ok so pop punk really hasn't went anywhere if you ask me, but do you think we will be seeing more pop punk videos being played on MTV and other music television networks with so many pop punk albums being released this year good charlotte, blink 182, etc
2010, GC, blink 182 and No Doubt are releacing new cd's late 2009 or early 2010. So this "comeback" won't be until 2010. But I don't think those three bands sill make it a comeback....the last cd any/all of them released wasn't very pop punk and who knows what they'll come up with now...that they're all old. lol
however benji said the stuff they're working on now is more like the first 2 cds

I think that MTV has become so commercialized and barely has any music anymore. So the music they do have is the mainstream type of music that you get sick of and hear everywhere. They only put on music that appeals to the people that watch their lame shows.
Most pop punk bands are forced to go underground.
This band Oh, Hush! has done all their marketing online and has not even come out with an official music video. But they still rock. They sound a lot similar to GC's last album, Good Morning Revival with a little bit of Cobra Starship and Panic at the Disco.
Check out their myspace www.myspace.com/ohhushmusic. They are very interactive with their fans. If you leave a comment, most likely they will respond the next day.

They do have a similar sound. Most bands sound like some other band, it has been harder to find original sounding bands.
But I do give them credit for having an original dynamic. No one knows who the members are. They have not released their names. And they have had so much interaction with their fans. They make it about music which is what punk is about.
