Joel has apparently been taking acting classes
I imagine this is his long range plan but it scares me to think that Good Charlotte might come to an end. He doesn't come right out and say that but who knows. He says he wants to be home more.

can you really blame him for wanting to be home more? The younger years of a child's life are crucial and He wants to be home for Harlow. I say he should do what he feels is necessary to be home for her and Nicole. besides I don' think any parent would want to miss their child's first words or first steps, and by touring as much as he does with GC, there's a large chance of that happening. And now with Billy I'm surprised they haven't called hiatus for a little while. but hey they care about the fans, which is nice to know as long as they aren't giving up too much of their family life.

I do realize this, as I have two kids myself. I wouldn't expect them to be on the road all the time but don't give it up all together. There are so many bands who are all married with kids and just bring the whole fam on the road during the summer.

yeah i can't imagine that being all that much fun for the children. but then again I'm not them. it's whatever is best for the children which is whatever the parents decide which may or may not be right. I so do not want kids. parenting sounds complicated.

Sorry, but this video made me kind of mad. Singers can't act, and actors can't sing. Fact. Anyways, I'd always see him as JOEL, not another person, even if it's acting.
They better not stop touring, I will practically die.

lol don't some actors have to sing (example: Broadway musicals, movie musicals)? and from what I've seen of a majority of musicals those people can act and sing.

Hmm...I think that there are pros and cons to this. I think that acting, he will be gone just as much (unless he is shooting locally but let's face it, most movies are filmed in the middle of nowhere.). Three months at a time, either way you look at it. I think taking a break from everything would be their best bets, OR do what No Doubt does and dress'em up and ship'em out with you!!! LOL I dunno I just think GC are gonna be those guys like Motley Crue who are gonna do reunion tours when they're like 50. :)
PS: I'm slightly annoyed Joel was like 'You can only go around the world so many times..." as if he's seen it all lol. Joel, you've seen a lot but not NEARLY everything the world has to offer.

There's a select few that can do it. You're right. But that's why they're cast.
But David Hasselhoff for example, he can somewhat act but fails at singing. XD

To tell you the truth, I almost died when I saw this video and he said that. My heart sank. Not that I wouldn't see his movies, I'd love that but I wanna see him perform music with Good Charlotte. Going to GC shows is my getaway from reality and besides, if he is an actor, we will have a lot less of a chance of meeting him and the rest of the guys again. It is so sad.
Unless he is like Jon Bon Jovi and can do both, and that will only mean more time spent away from home. Yeah, I think the only way he'd be able to stay closer to home is to do a series, and I doubt that would happen.

I'd be upset if Good Charlotte broke up. But I would definately understand. They're all growing up, getting married and having children. If it were me, I'd stop too. I would want to be with my children when they're growing up. So part of me hopes Good Charlotte stays together for many more years. But the other part of me sort of hopes they break up, well, not break up, but maybe not do so much so Harlow can have her dad around all the time while she's growing up.

I would laugh SO hard if Joel became an actor.
I mean, when I saw him and Benji in Material Girls, I wasn't expecting it at all, and I laughed SO hard.
No offence to the Madden's, but acting isn't their strong suit, at least not going by the skills they displayed in Material Girls ahhaa.
