I am positive that there are people who hate GC. :D But thats their choice. :) Nobody can like the same music, things, stuff. :D Hate is a strong word but I'm sure there are people who hate em. :D I don't know how anyone could hate on GC's muisc or the Magnificent Men of GC..but...there are some.. ;) :D I am NOT in the hate category. I LOVES em. :)
Yeah, there definitely are haters out there. Mostly kids who think they're too hardcore for GC. Or that GC "aren't punk"... For how many years have GC agreed that they aren't punk, and yet people still harp on about it and criticise them for it... It's ridiculous.
I don't know how people can hate them if they really know anything about them though, I mean, with their lyrics, all the good they've done, and just what nice guys they are. I think the haters are mostly people who have just heard them on the radio or seen a couple of videos and decided their opinion based on very little. Or yeah, like some of you have said, they are just friends of fans who are sick of hearing about them! Lol
My older brother and sister DID hate GC but last year they took me to see them (because they knew how much I was in love with 'em) and came back as fans! It's really funny cause about a week before the gig I was playing keep your hands of my girl trying to convice my sister that they are awesome and she was all like 'ugh, no turn it off! maybe I should bring some earplugs with me when we go!" and then in the car on the way home from the gig, she said that that was her favourite song of theirs! ha! My Brother and Sister both thought that GC are better live than on their CDs. Apart from that I personally don't know anyone who hates them but there are always going to be haters about everything, so... *shrugs*
%99 of the metal population.
%99 of the faggy scene kid population.
%99 of the punk population.
%99 of the chavs population.
%99 of the I hate anything with a guitar in it population.
%0 of the pop population.
and no, that isn't something to be proud of.
pop sucks.
well, I must be an exception then, I considered myself a metalhead for years: "IF IT ISN'T METAL...IT SUCKS!!!" Yeah, one of those people. I was going to only metal shows, buying only metal CDs, wearing only metal t-shirts. Then my daughter's friend brought over GC's first album. They played it so much I found myself singing the songs and enjoying them. Then I took them to a GC show and the rest is history. LOL. I still love metal but now I allow myself to listen to and enjoy all types of music. It is very liberating. My friend, who is still hardcore metal rarely speaks to me anymore because I now listen to Good Charlotte, and a whole lot of different types of genres.
