I've been thinking this lately though. What if Cardiology has a huge hit or two on it and all the "fair weather" GC fans hop "back on the band wagon" so to speak and it becomes a b**** to get tickets to any of their shows. It would be great for the band but not so great for the fans who have been there through thick and thin. Selfish of me, I know, but this is how the paranoid mind works. LOL
joel said on twitter that theyre starting the recording process on may 1st i believe, thou i believe on may 1st he wasnt even in town! LOL.
and tanya, hmm.. i think that maybe, or hopefully, more people will be drawn to this album and get more fans.. who knows what could happen. But honestly, i doubt that it will be like, a b**** to get tickets to their shows!! ahaha!! i mean, on the summer tour was The Maine, Metro Station, GC, and BLG and they still only sold out those really small venues, (what, like 5,000 people at most?)
So maybe if they were to get these more fans, if anything, im sure they will move on to the larger venues!! =)
i dont think it will EVER be REALLY TOUGH to get tickets for a GC show. its not like their Hannah Montana!! LOL.
I love club shows too. I'm not a fan of huge venues. I remember in the 80s waiting in line at the butt crack of dawn to get Bon Jovi tickets.(This was before online ticket sales etc.) I usually made out pretty good but sometimes I ended up in the nosebleed section. The band looked like ants running around on the stage so binoculars were a must. LMFAO, at one point, Bon Jovi actually starting selling their own cardboard binoculars at their merch booth. They had their picture on them and everything. I have a pair somewhere.
Yeah, I would hate so much for the GC guys to become so huge we couldn't get anywhere near them. I actually got punched in the back by an over zealous security guard when I tried to reach over and touch Jon Bon Jovi during a show one time.
Honestly, GC gigs have never been hard to get tickets for, unless it was Brixton in London, but thats because it is a nightmare city.
Honestly, I don't see GC gaining anymore popularity as a band (is that bad), they stopped that happening the minute they, as a band, said they were happy with the levels things are now (circa GMR).
Club shows are better, for big gigs, it is best to buy from venue. I had to go and wait to get Take That tickets for my mum, which I'm glad of because the websites and phonelines kept crashing.
GC have never played any big venues here anyway, tend to be more 2-3,000 capacity places. Which, is comapritively small, when I think I saw D12 in Hampden and that was 45,000.
Small shows are much more better in my opinion. First - fans can actually HEAR the music&words. Second - fans can see band. And third - it has IT athmosphere.
I don't mind if they become much popular than they already are - after all, they deserve it. I just hope that they don't foget about their fans. Thats all.
