Anyone been teased for liking good charlotte?
I was harassed at a hot topic many years ago. this guy followed me around the store making fun of my gc hat. he was talking really loud too. he would not leave me alone. i eventually left the store in embarrassment.

Lol yeah. I cop it all the time. Alot of the time for my other music. Which is strange, Cause, They call call my music 'emo'. Yet. I dislike emo, metalcore, post-hardcore ect. yet. The only emo bands on my ipod is Cap'n Jazz (first emo band in the world, and its not wannabe emo,its a little indie). Good Charlotte is the closest i go to emo, My fave bands are Nirvana, Avenged Sevenfold, Rancid ect. Though. Im a massive emo, I had a look at this kids ipod. He was listening to My Chemical Romance, I laughed my ass off, then i went through his ipod. Bring me the horizon, Alesana, Aiden... s*** like that. My music s**** in there face, yet im the emo, with music that is not emo, its nuts.

People think the music they listen to is the end all be all. I think its stupid to diss someone for the music they like. Its an art form and as such..not everyone is going to love the same music. If someone disses me or says negative crap about my love for GC..I IGNORE them. People also love to label people and music. I don't love all types of music or some bands. But I also give these bands credit for the music they make..regardless if I like them or not. You say people call you emo. Well some have issues with my age. I ignore these types too. Music is about enjoying it not about whether your old, young, or anything else. :)

Yeah, I agree. I put up with all music, good or bad in my opinion. However. I am completely anti-Techno. Mainly because i really dislike it, plus. its over-rated. and the people i dont get along with are all into it. I get along with alot of people. not them though.
I dont stereotype people. I judge them on who they are. I treat people, the way I would like to be treated.

i used to be herassed by classmates too...but i totally told them to f*** themselves cuz i wasnt going to stop liking GC just cuz some a****** didnt even kno who they were...and thats the problem w/these ppl they harass cuz they've never even listened to them they dont kno what GC is all about...it used to get me mad but now i dont really care...all i gotta say is that you shouldnt be embarrased for liking them..my metalhead friends arent...they dont love them but they dont hate like those other ppl...and b/cuz i stood up for them soo much ppl already kno im a diehard fan and dont punk on me cuz i will kick their ass....

I like how people who are into grindcore, black metal, and the like are such f****** music snobs. Their music is horrible [more than half the time. Can't lie, like some of it when I hear it] and can make someone's head explode. And not even in a good way. Rawr. P***** me off.
Oh, and if anyone ever tells you you're favorite band sucks, just say "I know" and walk away. It'll totally throw them off.

I can only tolerate a few bands like..
Cradle Of Filth and stuff. But you are right. there f****** snobs. Though some people think im a snob when it comes to music. But thats what happens when your school is full on RnB fans, Pop fans, Rap fans, Techno fans, Pretty much radio stuff. I have a habit for hating techno and pop music so as soon as i hear it, i switch off. dont even give it a chance.witch is bad in some cases.

Everyone is intolerant in some types of music.
I've met like one person who was totally unbiased, and listened to EVERYTHING. I can respect other types of music, but there is some (happy Hardcore) I cant stand.

People would come up to me at school and say "i hate good charlotte" or "good charlotte sucks" I would just say "that's nice" just to piss them off, cause I don't care that they don't like good charlotte. It only matters that I love them.
