So I know this has nothing to do with Good Charlotte... but I'm just so excited I had to post about it. Anyways.. to the point. About a week and a half ago I found my sister from my dad's side on facebook. I've never met my father, so I've never met my sister either. She's 23... and she's from North Carolina. She flew out here tonight to see me. ( I live in Canada, BC. ) She's at the airport in Seattle right now and my Uncle's going to pick her up so she'll be here in about 2 hours. Holy crap, I'm so excited right now. Like seriously, I'm meeting my older sister for the first time in like two hours. Okay, well here's where GC has something to do with this.. Now that I actually know where my father is ( even though he doesn't want to meet me ) GC's music doesn't really mean as much to me. I don't mean that in a bad way, I still love them, but GC meant so much to me because their music helped me deal with the fact that I never knew where my dad was and all that. But now that I know where he is... and know a bit about him.. their songs, like Emotionless and Predictable don't really have the same meaning. Anyways, I'm babling. So yeah, I just wanted to post about that because I'm so freakin' excited =D
I'm so happy for you! :) Hopefully you and your sister will become great friends as well as sisters. I know I love my two sisters and we are the best of friends. :) As for the songs not having the same meaning..well thats okay. They did help you when you needed them. :) Congrads!!!! I'm so thrilled for you. :)
WHOOOOOOOOOOA it is exciting and I'm sure you two will get along just great! :D
I'm happy for you!!!! It's great that you'll meet!
great that you posted thios thread because it just shows that good thgs happen around world too ;) You'll sure have a lot in common :)
How exciting. I hope you two get along well and keep in touch. Fathers can be such jerks though. My parents divorced when I was six years old. My mother didn't want my father to see us anymore so he stopped coming around. I tried to reunite with him when I was 18 and he basically told me to get lost.
That's SO cool! Wow. Im happy for you! So how did it go??
Well yeah, dads can be jerks sometimes LOL... GC's music,, I can really relate to.. My dad was an alcoholic and when I was like, 3 or something he found another girlfriend and moved to Ohio with her. Since he was an alcoholic, he spent a lot of his time in jail. He came back to NJ to see me when I was like 7.. Just for a weekk though! And when I was about 16 for a couple months, now he is in Ohio again. So I kinda feel how the Maddens did, u know, not really knowing their dad... and walking out onn the family. Kinda sucks.. But I never knew what it was like to have him around, so honestly I don't care..
