LABELS LIKE EMO GOTH PUNK AND MOSHER
What do you guys think of labels like these would you ever use any of them to describe your selves?? personally i dont think a label shud be given to people labels are for food and drinks and stuff like that not people :D

I agree with you... these labels shouldn't be used to describe people, or clothes... They are a way to label music, thats fair enough but even then I think there's too many off shoots of genres such as punk rock goth etc now to actually define each one... And a lot of the things that created these genres has now disappeared or altered... It's very difficult to label something that has no fixed definition and when its always changing.
But, these labels are always going to be around because I think no matter who we are, we all look to labels to find a place to belong and to find our influences... So... although they'r enot always good and some people don't like being labelled, I'm guessing most people look to some certain label and at least take an influence from it. :-S

Yeah, I don't really agree with labels and stereotypes, but even I judge everyonce in a while. All of us do. Sometimes without even realising it. But I would never place myself in any of those categories, because I'm none of those. Actually, labels just confuse me. I don't understand them really lol.

lol i get what you mean even if you did confuse yourself :D lol but you're right and everyone has a different vision of what is a punk or what is a goth etc labels are weird lol and your right on the music thing theres definately way too many genres now

Me neither to be honest.... I can't say that yea, that person is punk, because how do you tell? Is it the shows you see them at? The clothes they wear? Their attitude? I think a lot of genres have mixed together, so it's even harder to tell... lol...

I dont agree with them, but people always label others.
I get called a punk or a dyke(yeah im gay)

I hate labels. They were developed by people with narrow minds. People try and label music, people, clothing, age, you name it people put labels on it. Some say GC is too pop, and other assorted names for GC's music. They don't even give GC's music a chance because it doesn't sound 'rock' enough and I've read some nasty comments about it being 'emo'. Why not give it a chance and stop labeling it?!!! Stop labeling people because of their appearance. I remember walking in the mall with someone and we passed this guy with liberty spikes. The person I was walking with said the guy was probably on drugs. I was like, "HUH? How can you tell just by his appearance???"! Thats labeling or 'judging' in my opinion. People have judged me for loving GC at my age. They think I need to grow up and act my age. Hmmm...well if I have to stop doing something I enjoy..EVEN AT MY DECREPIT AGE just because they want me to grow up..I choose to be never grow up! :) lol Labels are for canned veggies and for knowing which is the Ladies Room and which is the Men's room... ;)
