to anyone living in London, please help!!

I'm trying to visit London in the summer. For two weeks, June 28th-July 12th. I know the US dollar is at a horrible exchange rate right now, BUT...at the same time I feel as if this is the time when I should just go see the world. I need to. I need to know there is more out there than this.
We are going to be staying in hostels...cause we are just a bunch of poor kids trying to get out of our element.
SO!
this is where I need YOUR help. if you have any insightful ideas or helpful tips, PLEASE SHAREE!
i would greatly, greatly appericate it!

hey, yeah for sure the dollar sucks at the moment, but if you check out http://www.tntmagazine.com/ its a good guise to london and which hostel to check out, and www.nme.co.uk www.gumtree.co.uk for all the gigs going on in the area, hope it helps
