So I was watching Paris's BFF (I like it and want to see who goes home!) and a group went with Paris to Japan for the Japan VMAs. They go out to dinner and they are sitting in front of the hot skillet where the food is being prepared. To let people see how fresh the seafood is, they took a poor shrimp that was ALIVE and threw it on that hot skillet. Now thats just cruelty in the extreme in my opinion. Just because a creature doesn't have higher intelligence doesn't mean it can't feel pain. Thats torture. The poor shrimp was writhing and it was just disgusting. :( To some its just a shrimp..and who cares. But I CARE! This one girl who was with Paris's group jumped up and went out side in shock. Paris followed her and comforted her saying she loves animals too. People make me sick with their 'we are more intelligent and we have to eat therefore we don't care how we go about the process'. Just saying it makes me sick of us humans when I see that kind of cruelty. And you know what? Being cruel like that does show up in other areas of people's lives. If a person can do that to an animal or some helpless creature..they can do that to a human. In my humble and uneducated emotional opinion. :(
Awe. Thats awesome. I think that it doesn't cost a dime to be nice to others. I commend you for going the extra mile for this lady. People are so quick to say they don't know or can't help somebody. Your special in that you did try and help that deaf lady as much as possible.
Yeah beverly I totally agree with you. It is sick. That's why I don't eat meat. Its selfish and unfair to the poor animals. What is wrong with veggies and pasta? I mean, I eat chicken. But that's it! No burgers, steak, seafood, bacon, eggs, etc. So many ppl ask me, so what do you eat?? Haha im so picky! Eek. Lol. The funny part is, iused to eat steak and burgers regularly a few years ago.
I've had an experience like that. I felt really bad when I was at my aunts house and my uncle brought home a live lobster or w.e. In a box and boiled him to death and ate him. (Why am I calling the lobster a him??? Lmao!) I was disgusted. So was my aunt. But seriously, after all of that digests and you take it out, just because it tastes good, you just killed an animal. And that's supporting it. A few hours after your meal once it digests it really didn't matter if u were to eat a burger. When you could've sticked with a veggie burger just fine =]
I'm veggie on the princple that humans seem unable to kill an animal humanely.
Cows are shocked to death so that their meat isn't stress too much or are hammered, where a metal pin breaks through the skull and into the brain.
Its a disgrace
I could easily live without meat. I've tried to go vegan before and that was hard but I know I could easily become a vegetarian. My husband loves meat so I usually have to buy it for him but my daughter and I love veggies and pasta and veggie burgers are actually pretty good.. I love rice and beans and stuff like that too. I eat meat sometimes but I always feel bad. I really really love animals a lot. All kinds of animals. It' really hard because I live in a rural state that depends on hunting to help support our local economy. When I see deer, bear and moose going down the road on the back of a car I literally feel sick.. I can't even watch someone bait a hook with a worm because I get sick to my stomach. What really freaks me out is women who hunt. The men around here I can somewhat understand as most of them are backwoods rednecks and they get thrills from killing. I don't see how a woman can stomach such crap.
