Good Charlotte

I am absolutely gutted, never got to see GC yet, I am a 33 year old single mother with two children so it's hard to get a babysitter to look after my children whilst I travel far away to see them. Missed them last year as they did not come to Wales so when I found out about this one I thought great another chance to see them. But alas no gig in Wales again! GC if you read this put Wales on the agenda for the next one! I know we are a small country but hey we've put some cracking bands out there and we've got great voices to use when we sing along to your tracks! Anyone else out there feel the same?

the band dont get to choose where they tour, its the tour manager and the record company and they probably choose the places which are most economically viable in terms of possible ticket sales, travel time and costs etc...

i'm sorry for you that they've not been to wales and i would be gutted if they had never been near me, but sorry to say they can't go everywhere in the world!
Thanks for your reply, even though the tour manager may decide where they tour, I'm sure they have some input in the decision. I know that Corey Taylor Slipnot/Stone Sour loves Cardiff and always tries to make sure they go there. I don't know how long you have been into the rock scene but I have been into it for 20years and I have seen many a band in Cardiff ranging from small barely known bands to well known bands such as The Dogs D'amour, Quireboys, The Almighty, Tigertailz to name but a few, even Iron Maiden and Trivium have come to Wales! GC are quite a sucessful band and I'm sure they'd have no problem selling tickets. We have an airport, a large rail network plus small venues such as Saint Davids Hall, Cardiff International Arena, Newport NEC and of course the famous Millenium Stadium so either way the costs can be varied. Cardiff was once a very popular place for bands of the rock scene to visit. No offence to you but maybe there's someone else out there that is more knowledgeable that can enlighten me!
i had to travel to see Rancid, because they really didnt like Scotland.
Have had to do that for Nofx and me first and the gimme gimmes
A ha!- No not the band, there you see Rancid got to choose where they didn't want to go! By the way I like Rancid too. Don't get me wrong I've done a lot of travelling to see bands, it's just I can't understand how Wales has become such an unpopular place now for the rock/punk/metal scene, it's a shame. At least Avenged Sevenfold played Cardiff I like them too, just gutted I couldn't find a babysitter to go. I am determined to see someone this year as I'm starting to shake from withdrawal symptoms!
too many bands Do a uk tour of England.
Its bugs me
actually, the other night in bristol someone said to dean that they came from wales and asked why the guys didnt play there and he said that they didnt get to choose! billy also said that last year when he got asked the same question.
The band do their job.
Its the management you should take it out on
I totally agree UK should mean all the cities in the UK.
OK fair enough, then this is for the management GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND GIVE A FAIR DEAL TO ALL OF US! By the way thanks for the info.
And what a grand job they do as well!
