During GC's performance, Joel said it was a special night as it marked the 200th GC show for someone named "Kerry Graham??" I'm not sure if I got the name right. I just wondered if She is one of the people on this site. Awesome accomplishment by the way. I have a long way to go!!
He said something like she has seen them all over the world!!! I was amazed. She definitely has no life other than following them, and a ton of money to do it!! oh well!!!!!
First off..I could never afford to do that..
Secondly - I need my job and the absences away would not be tolerated..I'd be fired. ;)
and last but not least..What ever happened to her family??! Perhaps she doesn't have any or is estranged. But after a bit..it would get really tiring traveling around following GC like that. I love them guys and seeing them 3 times was awesome this year. But 20 times is too hard for me! I would be dead by the 5 or 6 time! lol
I wouldn't mind following them on a whole tour or something. I absolutely love road trips and visiting new places and meeting new people. But, like you said, I have a full time job, house, family, pets and I don't have a lot of money so it would be difficult. More power to people who can though.
I'm a student and I'm already in debt. The only way I hit 3 shows was saving up and living like a refugee.
My last 2 shows were insane- I was in DC one day and home the next and at Six Flags the day after. I miss the road, I miss the girls, I miss the band, dirty streets, hotels, no sleep, fast food, screaming, and dancing in the night.
I see why this person hit a lot of shows, but come on.
we could live like the "Phish heads" that used to frequent Vermont in the band's heyday. (I don't know if you are familiar with Phish but I think they suck!!) We used to get hordes of neo-hippie wannabes, sleeping in fields, shop lifting food and congregating every where whenever Phish played a show here. LOL!!
If I had the time and the money and the energy I would go to a lot more shows but 200 is a bit too much. Wheres the time for chilling out and just hanging around doing nothing??! lol
This is true. My friend and co-worker was on vacation the week before me and she saw Nine inch Nails in Connecticut, then went to Manhattan to see Iggy Pop at a club there. Then she was off to Mansfield Massachusetts for a Radiohead concert. This was all within a few days or so. She is 58 years old, turning 59 in November!! She was like "Tanya, when I finally got home from everything, I just sat there and couldn't do anything!! I was so tired!!!" Bless her heart though. She is a cool lady!!!
Thats awesome that she is into the music like that. :) I love GC and I wish I COULD go see them as much as possible. But I have grown kids who still require me for some things. ;) Plus my husband would feel neglected. ;) lol
