The 930 Club DC show..
was so awesome! :) I got in line at the venue around 1:00 and the line wasn't long at all. I met Steph from here and a lot of folks from gcnaptown. :) It was so nice meeting people I talk to on here and there! :) I have to say that everyone is so awesome and nice!! I got in the line and it was HOT as HELL! ;) Thankfully some people had went and bought umbrellas in the hosptial gift shop and this nice young lady let me use hers. I was almost sick at one point but I managed to hold on till the doors opened at 7. It was so nice to go in and get some air conditioning and the club had huge pitchers of ice water. I snagged the front end and Step was on the front line down from me. The first band was really good. I liked them. The one young dude gave me a bottle of water!! I thanked him so much cause I was so thirsty from being in the heat all day. I loved their music. To me their music had the sound of a southern band. Then The Main came on and I thought the girls in the audience were going to faint. ;) I liked their music. I could find myself buying one of their albums. :) Then it was time for GC. AWESOME is the only way to decribe them! They all seemed to be really energetic! The whole club was awesome too! Everyone was really into singing the songs along with GC and everyone was jumping and doing their part to enjoy the show. :) Billy came over to my side of the stage and was practically right in my face! He was singing and looking at me. :) Joel came over a lot and one song he looked at me and I sang with him. :) FUN! Benji seemed to be enjoying himself too. He did the acoustic stuff which was really enjoyable. He said he's not the handsome twin. AWE. He IS too. He looked damn good to me. :) lol Paul played his heart out! He was sweating so bad it was dripping off of him. Deano was totally awesome too! :) I enjoyed the whole show so much! I got a scraped elbow from sitting against the wall waiting for the doors to open and I almost got sick from the heat..but it was definately worth it. The Main's van parked right in front of us and all the girls were thrilled to see the guys and write on their van. Their van provided the only shade and some of us ended up sitting or standing in it. :) Their van has all these signatures and things on it from their fans. Some are kind of suggestive. ;) I don't know who the first band was but I liked them a lot. But the GC guys..they are truly magnificent up there. They truly give a show that is fun and awesome. :) THANX GC! YOU GUYS ROCK!! :) And Thanx to all the fans too. You guys rock too. :)

It was an awesome show. Steph seemed to be really into the show too! :) I didn't get to meet anybody but I DID see Billy walking into the club and saw Joel arrive in a taxi. :) I didn't see any of the other guy's arrive except for The Main. :) They seemed nice. :) They always stopped for the girls to have pictures taken. :) GC was so awesome up there!! They are amazing really. I love them!

I didn't get to meet anyone. Joel did wave to me when he was out having a smoke after the show in Montreal. (Bad boy!!!)

I didn't hang around after the show because I had to find my way back to Baltimore from DC! Those streets are f'd UP! ;) I even had Mapquest directions which don't help much because the streets vary off in different directions! I will check out your pictures when I get on myspace. I want to see them. I get to go to the show on Saturday and I have meet and greets and photo op. It says I can't take flash. I don't know what camera to take with me!

Do you have a digital camera?? I don't know that much about taking pictures. Maybe you should call a Camera store or see if you can find anything on line about taking pictures without a flash. I always though that if you are inside you should always used a flash.
Speaking of getting lost, I couldn't find my way out of Lowell and had to circle the same block like four times. I felt like Chevy Chase in European Vacation. It was hysterical.

I think I'm taking my digital camera and one of those disposable ones. I had to stop three different times to ask random people where 50 was that would take me back to Baltimore. Its amazing how the street just twists away in another direction and there aren't any signs to indicate where the road is going. Glad you got out of Lowell! :)

Lowell wasn't too bad. Montreal was the real challenge. The ramp I needed to get onto in order to get out of the city was under construction and closed (of course!!) so I ended up having to stop and ask a man for directions. My daughter gets so nervous when we get lost but I don't usually.
even though the signs are in French up there I know what East, West etc are in French so I was able to find my way around pretty well. We even took the subway up there!!! We met up with a really nice Montreal girl, another GC fan, who acted as our tour guide!!!

Its fortunate that you hooked up with that other fan. It was so hot yesterday and there was no shade anywheres except for a patch by The Main's van. I swear I almost got sick.

It is actually freezing here today. It was 40 degrees this morning when I woke up. They even mentioned how cold Vermont was on the CBS Good Morning show out of NYC.
That is one thing that gets to me too while standing in line. Being hot and not having enough to drink. I tend to not drink very much because I don't want to have to worry about having to pee, but then I end up dehydrated, which sucks. I get dry heaves and stuff. Boy, the things I do for Good Charlotte!!!!

I find it odd that they played DC, are coming back up to NJ/RI and then playing Sonar on Saturday.
The funnier part is, I'm not going to either show near me and I'm driving down to Baltimore to see them.

I know what you mean about trying not to drink too much. Luckily there were some really awesome fans in line who would hold others place in line while going for restroom breaks and food and drink. I limited myself to two large diet cokes and I took a bottled water in my bag. I didn't want to drink too much but I was so thirsty and hot. Someone was getting ready to throw out her water cause it was hot and I asked her if she minded me getting some to put on my face. She gave me it and I put some on my lips and all over my face. It felt so good! Once I was in the building the air conditioning felt wonderful and the club had these large pitchers filled with water and cups. I got one of those!! And that one guy from the first band gave me a bottled water. Bless him! :) I didn't eat anything while waiting in that hot sun. I definately would have hurled after eating anything!! lol
