Good Charlotte

okay, so does anyone on this site like a band that's not supergazillions-of-fans famous? i mean, green day, mcr, and simple plan have their own threads and its all good but hello what happened to the rest of the world? talk about the "little" bands here. (yeah, i start New Discussions when i get bored. deal with it.)

I think what you mean to say is lesser known bands as opposed to 'littler'. :)

I really don't listen to many unknown bands these days, I don't have time or patience to break new bands in.
oops...lol xD
yeah, I'm too old and jaded to even think about liking new bands. i mean, unless they really impress me. Which, honestly, hasn't happened in I dont know how long.

I'm obsessed with Alkaline Trio again. For the 3rd time this year. They're well known, but not huge.
I don't listen to alot of popular/huge/mainstream bands. At least, not alot of them.

Or at least they're not popular as much here in this country. I think that's more the case.

I hate alot of new music too. Everything is the same s*** these days. It's friggin' annoying.

eh.
i dont know which bands are "little" and whatnot.

evaline? they are pretty small and from around here.
I started a discussion about a band called Type O Negative a while back and only like 3 people responded. They have been around for years and years, finally going platinum in 1993 with their awesome album "Bloody Kisses." Yet, they still haven't achieved the fame that they've hoped for. A few years ago I read an interview with their lead singer Peter Steele, just before the release of an album. He said something like "if this one doesn't make our band a household name, I'm quitting the music business for good." He hasn't of course, and they released another wonderful album last winter.
I've been a fan of theirs for years but still haven't had a chance to see them live. I've been hoping they will play at our club here but still haven't. They were at a club in Manhattan a couple of months ago and my friend went. She invited me but I at that time, I just couldn't go. She did get them to autograph their new CD for me, that was cool. If anyone on here enjoys dark, gothic type metal with some punk thrown in for good measure. Not real heavy. They have been described as Black Sabbath meets the Beatles. I concur. They are an excellent band. Check them out!!!
i know who they are. not really my thing though.
That's okay. Not everyone is into that kind of music. I just think they are really cool. I like a lot of different music.
Evaline are gooood.
It'd be cool if they played a show here or somethinggg.
omg i knowww. they have played like 2 or 3 shows in turlock/modesto i should have went to but didnt. aahahaa.
New bands usually suck.

Check out Outl4w and Strawberry Blondes though.
They are good newer bands bands.

Also check Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs, Cock Sparrer and Leftover Crack. ^^those are older bands, but immense, check them out
its hard for me to judge whats well known and whats not, cos like whats a lesser known band in australia is like a pretty popular band in America.
but like Australian bands that aren't well known overseas or even interstate, are like Kisschasy, Gryoscope, The Hot Lies, Elora Danan(my favourite), and then i listen to alot of unsigned music :)
