Someone recently said that they thought Joel was drunk on Stage

It was just someone I was talking to who was at one of the California shows. It bothered me because although I know the guys drink and stuff, I can't imagine Joel drunk on stage. I expect him/them to be more professional than that. What does everyone else think?

I don't believe it until I would actually witness it. He may have been tired, etc. perhaps, but drunk? Hmmm..

I honestly think Joel, or any of the guys for that matter, would do that. They no how to have fun, but know when to be serious at the same time

Oh man... I kinda hope that he wasn't but... if he was.. then his choice...

I've been to a lot of smaller.. less professional gigs, where the band members have been drunk and it was super funny, but can't imagine Joel doing that? But, if he did... fair play I suppose... his choice haha.

Well, I've seen pictures from his DJing gigs where he looks pretty blurry eyed, like he is feeling no pain. Buzzing is one thing but falling down drunk is another. I'm waiting to get more details from my source as to why she thought he was drunk.

I grew up with Aerosmith and Guns and Roses and drunks on stage aren't much fun to watch.

He has been known to be bad on stage. ;) Did he spit straight? ;) Did he jump around without falling down??! :) lol It would be Joel's decision to drink and then do a show. I think Benji would be mad at him..

I realize it is his choice and maybe he can pull off a good show regardless. I'm no prude, I drink. Sometimes more than I should. I felt bad even starting this thread but I just wanted to see what other people thought about this.

Haha! Or a look. ;) If Joel was drunk..sometimes it does happen. Hopefully he will be more careful if its true. Nicole will have to keep an eye on him. :)

replying to your last comment Beverly. yeah, I don't want Nicole to get pissed at him either. LOL. I know stuff happens. Years ago my mother, who was a vocalist in local country bands for years, got up on New Years Eve and performed with a band in front of everyone in our town. My grandfather was in the hospital at that time and she was stressed and drank a little more she should have prior to the performance. What a disaster. My husband taped it. She saw it the next day and cried and cried. I don't know what was more embarrassing, her, hanging on to the mike stand to keep from falling over, or slurring all the words to each song. It was awful. I guess I suffer from a little PTSD from that event. I hate to see Joel in that condition. LOL

Well you can't help being concerned. I am too. I respect Joel and wouldn't want him to be drunk all the time. But I think that if Joel was drunk that his brother would definately say something about it. And his whole family I do believe. If he was drunk it probably was just a one time kind of thing and I say IF.
