I hate when we shovel the snow so we can get out of the driveway and the snowplow comes along just as we're done and plows the snow right back in. It makes me want to cry. :( lol
LOL! When we had this blizzard we finally managed to dig out. The snow was up to the hips and thats a lot of digging out! ;) The first time the snowplow came by and plowed us right back in. ;) After my husband got done swearing we started the second round of dig out. It was dark by this time. We got done and this snow plow came by. My husband stood there in the driveway and made the snowplow operator go around him. We were fortunate that the snowplows didn't clog up the driveway after that. I like snow at first but then I'm ready for summer. Summer is my fav season.
wow, Maryland got that much snow where the plows had to come out?? I guess you guys do get more than I thought you did. and yes, we do have some good maple syrup here in Vermont!! It is expensive though!!
That plow thing with your husband reminds me of a joke I have about Vermont. LOL!! It's kind of long to share here though.
Tell it to me on comments. :)
Maryland gets snow but its not like all the time. But occasionally we get hit hard. I can't believe the maple syrup is expensive in your state! It should be cheaper! lol
It probably is compared to buying it elsewhere. but a gallon can be like around 40 dollars I think. If and when I do buy real maple syrup I buy a really small thing of it. I used to get it for free because my sister in law was dating a guy who ran his own sugarhouse. But, they broke up!!
I liked New Jersey when I went down there. Granted, I haven't lived there but it is so close to NYC and everything. You guys have good Concerts and stuff going on. Vermont is so dead!!!! Especially where Bessie lives. My town isn't too great either but at least I'm closer to Burlington. They at least have a couple of nice Malls there and a club that has good bands once in a while.
My sister was just in Chicago this spring for a conference. She loved it. You are very lucky to live in a bigger city. There is usually so much more to do in cities. Plus, the cultural diversity is important I think. Vermont doesn't have much of that, except Burlington.
That's a nice little story about how your parents met too.
