arrrrg im pissed ( credit card scam)

some f***** up human being stole my credit card and used about 10.000$ on it.

im so broke right now, i need to pay it all back cause the police cant find the person who did it.
and i have a little kids to feed and all...

so i have to sell all my dvds and ps2 and wii games my tv i had to stop my cable and my internet so in a few days i will not be here cause i have no internet.

anyone els that have been in this situation ????

Oh oh oh, okay I didn't know that your currency was so different from USD. Apparently "10,000 Danish kroner = 2,092.66 U.S. dollars" That's not nearly as high as I thought it was! My CC limit is 2300 USD *doh*

We get our credit cards through our banks as well but our banks aren't government agencies, so the police wouldn't be necessary even in that case. Here if someone steals your credit card, you go to the issuing bank/company and file the paperwork. They all have fraud departments now with the rise in identity theft.

It really sucks that you have to pay all that back when someone stole it from you =( I hope that you don't have to pay it all back in one swoop and you can cancel the card so no more will be charged!

man that really sucks! I dont understand how your card is not protected against fraud? In the UK most major credit cards dont hold you accountable for fraudulent activity on your card. They should be able to identify where the purchases were made and maybe there would be a way for you to prove that you were not there!

they really should be doing more to try and trace what happened, or they should have noticed there was a problem before it got so out of hand, when I spend a lot more then I usually do the credit card company call to make sure its a legit purchase!

I hope you manage to get is sorted out, is there no other way to appeal?

no no it is 10.000 $ i thought that i had to say it in $ and not in danish kr. so all of you would understand it...
i have to pay it all back as soon as possible unless the cops finds out who stole it.

i know... the rules are really different when it comes to the law all over the world.
