Benji Madden is my hugest crush and basically I'm in love with him. I'm thinking about the future right now thinking about spending my whole entire life with Benji Madden.

I bet you get some really nasty people! That definately suks! People call my job and its mostly providers who have submitted claims for medicare and medicaid. They want to know if they have been paid by the state. A lot of the times they don't fill out the form correctly or they duplicate the invoices. Our department just keys the claims; we aren't supposed to look the information up or tell the providers much. A lot of the time I will be really busy with the employees timesheets and other personnel related things and the phone rings! It can drive a person batty!

I f****** hate when the retailer's customers call me. Especially when I have to find a 'nice' way to say "Well you see, you paid for the product but the person you bought it through hasn't paid their bill in 2 months. So you're getting f*****, call your CC company and do a charge back and buy this through someone better."

Sigh.

I on the other hand have been doing this 3 years so I'm used to it. It's already eaten my soul.

I was on the line for an hour with a lady who was nice but crazy and unsure. She wants it RIGHT NOW because her daughter is moving to a place that apparently has no deliveries (WTF) and I can't do anything really. I can't magically make stuff plop out just because someone is nice :|

LOL! People think that things come instaneously. ;) I've done THIS job since 1998 but been with the lovely state of Maryland for 29 years. I started right out of highschool working for the state college and then for the transportation authority and now for the health department main headquarters. My job used to be simple but over the years I've been handed more and more jobs. :/ I don't mind but sometimes people are just dumb. Do you know people can't figure out how to put paper in the friggin copier??!!! I was like... First you go get the ream of paper..you pull the drawer out..you put the paper in! ;) I was having a bad day that day! lol Usually I'm not really beeotchy but there are days when I go crazy!

Your talking about the lovely State of Maryland. The state does everything CHEAP. Those sensors would involve paying money. They can't even fix the faucet in the bathroom. We have the use of only one sink because the others do not have hot water. I think they should have all the latest technology. We have to have those portable drinking fountains because everyone's afraid of drinking the water. :(

We have a timed light in the break room for that sort of deal so that they can't leave the light on for extended periods of time.

Other than that our shop would be going all sorts of nuts if it went off when someone left the room, far too many hazards. I don't know if OSHA would be pleased :[

Start selling nuts and bolts and I can get you some commission! Or perhaps a new phone, this this is a piece of s***.

Hahaha funny you bring up copiers. Today I actually went through and physically marked the functioning parts of the copier such as "Paper Drawer" "Top Feeder" "Side Feeder" "POWER BUTTON"

This way if I die, people will at least be able to use the damn thing. It's a crappy Staples copier and it's still SO COMPLEX to some.

Haha! I can relate to that! The other secretary and I had to put this sign up that said not to slam the copier doors because people would try and clear the jams and slam the parts shut to the point where they were almost breaking it! :/ Our copier has the fax incorporated into it and do you want to know how many times people ask me: face up or face down?!! Too many!!!

Hahaha that's the first thing I did when I got the copier, figured out that it's face up for the feeder. So I put a huge sticker on the top that says "When using the feeder, paper goes face up."

Even with all my stickers everywhere people still ask me s***. Apparently my brain is faster than their reading.
