What's the most intersting thing near where you live?

My hometown is really small and boring but the b-52's Love Shack video was filmed 6 minutes from my house.

the actual house is still standing...the checkered roof is still in tact...it looks like an abandoned pee wee's playhouse... there's a huge gate around it now though once you get down the long road.. Apparently more than a few people thought it would be a good story to tell if they actually shacked up in the love shack.

Oh this is fun! ^_^

Okay, the very first Hairspray was filmed in my area. Eastren Ave is an actual street and it's literally right down the street. The fatty store she goes to for clothes, it's an actual dress shop, it's called Stella's. I got both of my prom dresses from that store.

Every John Waters film was filmed around Baltimore, and I can pinpoint where most of them were filmed. Cry Baby (Johnny Depp people) was filmed close by. They actually used the old Patterson Theater which is right around the corner from me. The thought totally makes me happy.

Ladder 49, the big warehouse fire where Joaquin Phoenix's character dies. That warehouse was within walking distance of my house. It's right on the water and we used to go sit by it to watch the fireworks.

I can totally go on and on and on but I'm walking away

Baltimore is where a lot of movies are made! :) There was a movie that Sylvester Stallone was in and we had a piece of the scenery in our courtyard where we work for days until the actual scene was shot. :) We had to walk around it to go to the cafeteria. ;) And once they shot this tv show in the lobby of my building. It was interesting to watch them shoot these scenes. I was watching it and they called quiet on the set. Twas awesome! :)

It was really awesome! They used the kiosk in our lobby for a scene! :)

I love John Waters' films, especially "Cry Baby."

John Waters is just amazing.

So fucked up in the head when it comes to his films and I absolutely LOVE it.

I find it hilarious that he took out the signature "hon" in his movies now because it's too over done by Baltimoreans.

Cry Baby is definitely one of my favorites, along with A Dirty Shame (There's nothing better than a completely fucked up movie about sex addicts)

I loved fucked up movies because I'm rather warped myself.

ME! ;P

nah, seriously the most interesting thing thats happened is my neighbour getting stuck on her roof because she climbed out to wash her window and the window slambed shut and locked her out. My mum had to go in her house and unlock the window for her to climb back in. That was a fun day.
