Well it's completely true! I've met a few 'celebrities' and the only ones that took time to actually talk to me instead of just signing something and leaving were Benji Madden, Gene Simmons and Tegan And Sara. It's refreshing to meet celebrities that actually care about their fans.
Damn straight are they... I'm seeing them for the thrid time on sunday, and i'm so excited... they really do make you feel a part of the band, out of all the bands i've seen, they stay true to the fans, and they prove they realise that its the fans that have got them where they are today and that they are greatful for us all :-D
Exactly. I saw them live once in '04, and they didn't just go on stage, play their set and leave, like most bands I've seen. They actually interacted with us. Talked to us, and made us feel like they really appreciated. I think if a lot more bands did that they'd have a wider and more loyal fan base. Because honestly, not to sound egotistical or anything, but without us fans, "celebrities" would be just your average Joe with a 9-5 job.
Very true... but thats why GC fans are so different, Ive been to loads of gigs but at GC it's like a community.. everyone talks to everyone and you always leave with friends... And I think it stems from the band takin the time to meet everyone, it makes us all that more loyal to them :-D
