I would like Good Charlotte to come to Vermont. I doubt this would ever happen but stranger things have happened. Other bands you would never expect to come to this boring state have actually come here. We had a Lallapalooza show here in 1996 (anyone remember that yearly tour??) It was at an old dog track in a shitty little town called Pownal in Southern Vermont. When the hordes of people starting arriving with their piercings and tattoos and multicolored hair, the poor hayseeds there didn't know what hit them. The show was phenomenal. That year's tour featured The Ramones, Rancid, Sound Garden and even Metallica, among others.
So, if something like that can happen, and Aerosmith can play at Stowe Mountain resort, Good Charlotte can come here. Not that it matters, because I'll be seeing them where ever they play in New England, Quebec or upstate NY. It would just be nice to see them come to Vermont for once.
I know, Vermont is basically a very very lame place to live if you are into music at all. Other than Higher Ground in Burlington and an occasional odd gig (The Misfits at the Rutland Fair grounds for example that happened a few years ago, or the Lallapalooza tour like I said) there is nothing here. We don't even have any kind of large permanent venue here. Thank God for Montreal, Albany and Boston.
im from the uk and where i live in the midlands no decent band seems to want to play, so lets hear it for Nottingham's Rock City. i think more great bands should start playing there cause we always get left out of great gigs and have to travel too far away to see the bands.
