Pitbull extermination..........
So...by now I'm assuming most of you have heard of the California Pitbull ban right? Well....Canada just passed a bill banning any dogs that look like American Pit Bull terriers. If you wanna read it, then visit this site below....it's from a PETA post, so NO PETA DOES NOT KILL ANIMALS....
To be honest; the government pays anti-PETA to say crap.
And another thing....they can't ban drugs, yet they ban dogs? WTF is up with that?!

In defense of my country, you state that all of Canada just passed this bill. They did not. Only the province of Ontario passed this bill. So your post kind of misleads everyone reading this, and therefore sheads a bad light on all Canadians.
I don't like PETA, because I often find that they are no worse than government organizations, where they will give all biased information in desperate attempts to convince you.
I don't like that they have singled out Pitbulls as a bread to be 'banned.' PETA does mention in their article, that Pitbulls stand out as the most abused dog bread in America. I guess in this respect I can understand why banning the bread would be beneficial. There are many Pitbulls who, out of years of bad breeding and conditioning are agressive and dangerous, but that does not mean that every pitbull is like that. And there are many other dog breads of have their share of dangerous ones. Banning the bread completely is unfair. I really haven't made up my mind on the best way to go about the situation, because no matter how many different laws are in place, there will always be people who will break them.
- There could be requirements by law to have your dog fixed or face a penalty. There would be exceptions for registered breaders.
- Breaders would only be allowed to bread their dogs a certain amount of times in the year.
- Increased requirements in order to own a dog.
These are just certain suggestions that I could make, even though I know that many people would go against them.

I think this is so ignorant. Seriously. I worked at Animal Control for 5 years and I saw so many pit bulls come through. 99% of them were the sweetest dogs I had ever had the pleasure of working with. It's proven that there are more reported Labrador attacks then there are any other breed of dog. Pit Bulls have always been my favorite breed of dog because they're so family orientated. They're very protective and loyal to their owners. And it's the owners fault if the dog turns vicious. At animal control what we would do when we adopted out a pit bull is have someone from Hugabull do backround checks on the people wanting to adopt. We would go and check out their house to make sure it was suitable. And we would only adopt them out if we found them to be good owners. I think that is a much better solution than completely banning an entire breed. I could go on for days about this subject.

Like these drugs you speak of, these dogs are created by man.
Dogs have been force bred for thousands of years, so that they can work with man.
In the uk pitbulls are also banned, if you want one, they must be castrated or spayed.
People may moan about these 'beast', but it is a beast mankind made, and yet thousands of innocent animals die.
And Peta? I have had bother of them, as they will not work with any other animal rights organisation. Thanks Peta. For turning fight for the freedom of animals, into a business.

that's bull crap...people just wanna ban them because they think they are dangerous and truthfully it's all in the way you raise them...i have 4 atm and all of them are the sweetest dogs you will ever meet...people that think they are mean just because of the name are ignorant

Lol yeah. I wasn't trying to say that Labs are bad dogs. I'm just saying, no one expects cute, cuddly labs to go all bad ass. I just don't understand why everyone's so terrifyed of Pit Bulls. imo they're adorable.

they have bred to have powerful jaws.
It is the bite which is bad, they are sweet dogs, but when pissed they dont nip, they try and rip your hand off.

I agree with you, I myself have not got a Pitbull but I do have a Rottweiler and it's the same here, they are just given a bad name. The media hi-lights all the attacks by the so-called 'dangerous dogs!' but they never mention about attacks by poodles etc.! This is my third Rottweiler and he is great with all people, unless they try to break in of course! Lol.
